Hello, Friends!
We want to thank everyone for their interest and support at the Dahlonega festivals this spring - it was great!
Please keep in mind that we now offer complete sets of dinnerware - mugs, bowls, plates & bakers in all of our themes - the two types of bears, the River Folk, and the Owl.
Check back soon to see the latest creation - a series of beautiful and delicate luna moth pottery!
Have a wonderful day and give us a call to order a great handmade gift for someone or just to treat yourself!

Thanks, Deanne & Jeff

New!  "River Folk", bear and owl-themed tableware now available at the Country Cottage on the Dahlonega town square.

Etowah River Pottery is the product of Deanne Freeman McWaters and Jeff McWaters of Dahlonega, Georgia. The

pottery consists of functional stoneware that is food safe and can be placed in the microwave and dishwasher. All are made by hand and on the pottery wheel at our home studio on the banks of the beautiful Etowah River.

We give great care in making our special “River Folk” pottery. Each piece is drawn free-hand and inscribed into the pottery at the leather-hard stage of drying. After firing, we carefully paint the glaze into the details and again fire the piece in the kiln to finish. This time-consuming process insures that each “River Folk” pot is unlike any other, making a wonderful gift for river enthusiasts, collectors of unique hand-crafts or those who are “hard to buy for”.

- All pottery is handmade by us
- 100% made in USA
- Glazes are food, dishwasher & microwave safe except raku items which are sold as “RAKU”. Raku items are decorative and are not 100% waterproof. In use as a vase, place waterproof container inside the piece as a liner.

We hope you enjoy our work as much as we love making it. Come back often to see what's new!
